There is definitely a difference from the straight, regular type. The straight-shaped one makes the coins hard to see, but this one is easy to see, so I'm even more hopeful.
The motor power is strong. You can sharpen the magazine with other tools, not just the ones included in the package. The noise is less than expected, just a normal level of noise.
I tried using the vibrator that came with the foam, but I didn't feel much of a difference.
